We currently have two vacancies for the role of Town Councillor and are looking for people who are passionate about making a positive difference in our community.

What does a Town Councillor do?

Town Councillors represent the interests of local residents and help shape the future of the town. As a councillor, you will:
  • Represent the views and concerns of local people.
  • Attend Town Council meetings and committee meetings.
  • Help make decisions on local services, facilities and community projects.
  • Work with fellow councillors, residents and partner organisations to improve the local area.
  • Support local events and initiatives that benefit the community.
No previous experience is necessary. Training and support will be provided.

If you are interested in becoming a Town Councillor, please complete an application form and return it to the Town Council by the closing date below. Applications forms are on the Town Council website or direct from the office.

 

Closing Date for Applications: Monday 5th October 2026

Interviews: Monday 12th October 2026 (evening)
