Silent 999 calls

If you're in danger but you can't talk on the phone, you should still call 999, then follow these instructions.

If you don't speak English

We can still speak to you using a translator. When you call 999 or 101, tell us your language or say the name of your country. We'll connect you to an interpreter who will translate your conversation.
Non-emergency - call 101

If you're calling from outside the force area you'll have the option to transfer to Devon & Cornwall Police.

If you have a hearing or speech impairment, use our textphone service on 18001 101 or text/SMS 67101 (no need to register for this number).

Convo

If you use British Sign Language (BSL) for non-emergency contact you can use the Video Relay Service provided by Convo.
