Annual Accounting Statements 2023/24

Each year the Town Council's finances have to be reviewed by both an Internal Auditor (appointed by the Town Council) and an External Auditor (appointed by Smaller Authorities' Audit Appointments Ltd) - in 2023/24 this work will be carried out by Westcotts and PKF Littlejohn.

The Town Council's Accounting Statements will be reviewed by its Internal Auditor and when that work is complete they will be available to view below.

The Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) for 2023/24 has to be submitted to PKF Littlejohn by 1 July 2024 and when their review is complete the AGAR and Notice of Conclusion of Audit will be available to view below and will also be found on the Town Council notice board at the Public Hall.

In order to achieve openness and transparency, and to enable residents to see what the Council spends its money on, details of all payments can be found here plus monthly bank reconciliation information.

Each autumn the Town Council discusses how much money it will need to operate for the forthcoming year.  Below you will find the budget information for both the current and next financial years.

Each year the Town Council sets aside an amount of money to enable it to make Grants to local organisations which benefit the residents of the town.  In 2023/24 this amount was £10000.  

If you think your organisation may benefit from a Grant, we would ask that you read the Terms and Conditions which provides all the information you will need to provide with your application.
